So FINALLY after a long drawn out week of having to stop and start with reading this awesome story, I finally finished!! I had so many different things going on and all I wanted to do was read this book guys; I was almost crying!

A lttle too late

A Little Too Late is Staci Hart’s newest release; and I have to say I LOVED IT!  It is definitely one of her best books to date. ( next to of course A Thousand Letters which is my all time favorite book written by Staci) Before I get started I have to give a little bit of background on Charlie.

a thousdand letters

Charlie comes from a wonderful story Staci wrote called A Thousand Letters. Its Elliot’s and Wade’s story. I fell in LOVE with Elliot’s and Wade’s story! Elliot is Mary’s sister; Elliot used to take care of Mary and Charlie’s children, she was their first nanny. Elliot was the one to let the cat out of the bag about Mary. I loved how much Elliot loved Maven and Sammy; she did everything Hannah does for them in A Little Too Late; only she was; well she IS their aunt.

Charlie is SO broken, he doesn’t know it and has a lot to figure out but he doesn’t quite know how. That is until Hannah appears. Hannah is full of smiles, and songs, and cooking, and she shows him how to be the dad he wants to be. Hannah shows him how fun it can be although stressful there is fun to be had with your children. Neither of them is looking for love but they both feel a certain connection to each other.

There are however obstacles. ( isn’t there always??) Hannah has a problem with her previous employer and I have to say she is lucky he didn’t call the previous employer or call the agency to find out why he got a new nanny so fast when he was expecting a wait. And then there is Mary, ( you always want what you can’t have don’t you??) Mary just isn’t happy at all now, and now she’s causing trouble. Mary is just a horrible person, mother, sister, and wife. Do things work out for Charlie and Hannah? Or will Charlie give in and connect with Mary again?  Well if you’ve ever read a Staci Hart book you already know the answer to that. I guess you’ll have to read the story to find out, cause as much as I would love to tell you how this story ends, I won’t; you have to take the journey for yourself. And what a wonderful journey it is. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

SO of course by now you all know I have been ANXIOUSLY awaiting the arrival of On the Way to You by Kandi Steiner!! Well release day had arrived, (Nov 16th) but I was still reading A Little Too Late! I wanted- NO I NEEDED to finish A Little Too Late, before I dived into Kandi’s newest heart breaker! So I did I finished A Little Too Late early Saturday morning, and then started On the Way to You Saturday afternoon! As of right now I’m only about 70% done, but MAN IT IS SO GOOD…..  I can’t wait to share my review with you all next week! I’ll have some extra time since this week is Thanksgiving week so that means I’ll actually have time to WRITE and read… yay!!

So lately I’ve been sharing with you my writing that I’ve been working on and the progress that I’ve made. Let’s just say there hasn’t been any progress- my writing is on hold right now but I plan on working on it over the Thanksgiving break. I promise. But there is also something else I want to share with you that I would like to work on. Its a writing challenge put out by Brave and Reckless. The challenge is to write a short story or a poem about a Christmas song. It can be any Christmas song, the writer has to include a link to the song they chose as well as a picture for the story. All entries are due by the 15th of December. I’d like to do it but I’m not sure if I’ll have time. So we will see. I do have a terrible habit of trying to do too much at once. 🙂
